Alex Puskin is not your typical spy - dashing, daring, debonair and cunning.  He is a slacker and proverbial “C” student who by an incredible stroke of luck becomes employed with a newly formed intelligence agency.  Spies in the movies always know how to read trouble and get out of sticky situations by employing some clever ploy or gadget.  And at the end of the movie, the bad guys always lose and good triumphs.  But that’s not how things work in the real world of espionage and Alex quickly realizes he lacks the skills and discipline necessary for the job he’s been assigned.  He irritates his colleagues and handlers with his smart mouth and is impudent to his superiors, constantly disobeying their orders.  In his first assignment he finds himself way over his head mixed up a world of political entanglements and spy craft before realizing he’s been duped and used not only by his client, but by the very agency he works for.
